Four men stand in an excavated trench on a plank, carrying and shovelling grey gravel and stone. The man in the centre wears a blue-and-purple patterned shirt, cream dhoti and a striped head cloth; the man at left wears a pale blue shirt with a cream head wrap; the man at right wears a pale blue shirt, green checked lungi and a head wrap. Behind them stand stacked bricks, a black overhead water tank on a metal stand, a freshly built concrete boundary wall, red earth mounds, rebar and green trees under a clear sky.2006-12-09A dusty construction site with reddish-brown earth mounds and piles of cut grey granite blocks. Several workers in lungis and head towels carry out site labour: one man in a striped shirt and green lungi walks with a shovel, another in a white shirt and turban carries a shovel, and a man in a beige shirt holds a small child in red on his shoulder. A woman in a red and white sari with a head covering stands at the left among stones and green shrubs. Coconut palms and a line of trees fill the background under a pale hazy sky.2009-10-15A construction site with bare sandy earth, a yellow JCB backhoe loader on the left, and piles of cinder blocks and red soil. In the foreground a man with long dark wavy hair and a rudraksha mala wears a saffron-orange robe and walks forward. Around him, several people in saffron robes and white dhotis carry tools and work near the excavated ground, and a red flag flies on a pole. Green trees and a blue sky sit behind the site. Several people in white and a man in a maroon shirt stand nearby.2006-12-09November 16 20062006-11-16
