Two people in saffron-orange robes stand on bare sandy ground; the one on the left stands with hands at sides, while the one at centre in the middle presses palms together in prayer. To the right, a black stone shrine or deity murti sits on a raised base of red-painted stone, draped with yellow and white flower garlands, with a small white figure and a green cloth beside it. A brass lamp and white cord or garland lie on the ground near the base. A dark tiled area is visible at left.2006-10-25Outdoor ritual scene under a large banyan tree on a wet paved courtyard. On the left stands a golden statue of a seated guru-like figure in orange and gold robes, wearing a red turban and garlanded with red and white flower strands, with pink petals piled at its base. A black snake sculpture stands in front. Six saffron-clad young male devotees in orange dhotis and orange head cloths, several with rudraksha malas, stand with palms pressed together in namaskar facing the statue. On the right, a bare-chested man in a maroon dhoti wearing a long white and red flower garland stands smiling with hands folded, a brass plate with offerings and a banana leaf nearby. A saffron-clad deity murti stands under a silver arch, draped in multicolored garlands and a gold necklace, on a raised red flower-covered platform. In front are brass puja vessels, a lamp and offerings. Four people in orange robes kneel or sit on blue mats around the platform, while a standing man in orange robes with grey hair stands at the right edge, facing the shrine. Hanging aerial roots and tall poles surround the scene.2006-10-06Outdoors under a leafy tree, a figure in saffron-orange robe and matching orange head wrap bends forward and touches a stone-built mound topped by a dark statue of a seated deity with a hooded serpent-like crest and orange drapery. Several people stand nearby: a woman in white sari with hands pressed together at the right, a man in a white t-shirt and light trousers at the far right, another man in a light shirt, and an older woman in white on the left. A small square stone slab with offerings lies at the lower right. The a person cue is ambiguous: the orange-robed figure has a head wrap but the page does not confirm his presence, so identity is not asserted.2003-01-01June 07 20162016-06-07September 08 20152015-09-08September 02 20172017-09-02
