Five men sit cross-legged on a paved courtyard at dusk, eating from steel plates lined with green banana leaves. Behind them stands a dark stone deity murti draped with orange and yellow marigold garlands, set on a terracotta-coloured plinth. The man in the centre wears a white kurta and dhoti with a rudraksha mala and talks while gesturing; the man at right in a white shirt and light trousers eats with his hand. Two men on the left wear a white shirt with dark trousers and a green-and-white striped polo with dark trousers. Small white cups sit beside the plates.

Night-time outdoor ritual at a covered open-sided pavilion with a corrugated roof and red pillars. Devotees mill about on a paved courtyard. A man in white dhoti and shawl near the centre holds a rudraksha-style mala and stands beside a tall gilded post. Several women in saris, one in gold, others in cream and maroon, and men in white and cream hold brass plates of offerings and flower garlands. A standing figure in a cream long coat holds a garland. Oil lamps and a hanging lantern light the scene, and a tall ornate gold-topped flag pole is visible at right. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance, so the central figures are described by role only.
