A woman in an orange saffron robe with a white flower garland stands at a white-draped table, performing aarti with a brass oil lamp while facing a large gilt-framed portrait garlanded with yellow and orange marigolds. The portrait shows a figure in orange robes. Trays of fruit, red flowers, white blossoms and pink petals sit on the table. A second orange-robed woman stands with hands joined nearby, a white-clad man has hands folded, and a man in a white shirt on the right watches. Around 30 onlookers in mixed everyday clothes and saris stand along the left and back.2010-01-22A photograph of an indoor atrium with a tiled floor and cream walls, where a crowd of standing people, mostly in white shirts, salwar and saris, watch a devotional ceremony. Beside her, a figure in an orange robe stands with hands joined, and a man in a white kurta with hands folded stands near a man in a striped shirt and dark trousers on the right. A crowd of about thirty people stands in rows facing a portrait on a white-draped table with brass oil lamps and flowers near the centre. Many wear white shirts, saris and salwar kameez in blue, green and pink, and some stand with hands folded. Black leather lounge chairs sit at right. A framed portrait hangs on the far wall and a banner with a printed portrait appears above the doorway. A printed copyright and source notice overlays the lower right corner.2010-01-22A photograph inside a plain hall with a corrugated metal roof, white walls and a wooden floor. In the foreground at left, a small altar holds a lit oil lamp flame, a framed picture, flowers and brass lamps. A figure with long dark hair wearing an orange saffron robe stands centre-left with hands folded in namaste, facing the altar. Around them, about a dozen devotees stand in a semicircle with hands joined in prayer: several women in white saris, a woman in a yellow shawl at right, and men in white with orange shawls. The setting suggests a puja or aarti offering in an ashram hall.2008-10-09October 09 20082008-10-09August 16 20092009-08-16October 09 20082008-10-09A photograph of a group of devotees with palms pressed together in namaskar inside a bright, plain hall with a corrugated metal roof and white walls.
