August 08 20092009-08-08A photo of a decorated deity shrine in a temple. A golden canopy arch with a gilded top and small finials frames a deity murti, mostly hidden behind thick garlands of white jasmine and red flowers, with green leaves woven in. Silver-toned pillars flank the shrine. Hands in the foreground, one with gold bangles, reach toward the garlanded shrine. No people are fully visible in the frame.2012-05-10A bare-backed priest in an orange dhoti kneels before a gilded shrine niche decorated with pink and white flower garlands and lit by a string of warm lights. He wears a rudraksha-style beaded headband and a gold ornament at the back of the neck. A golden canopied throne or palanquin-like shrine holds a small deity murti. Brass oil lamps with lit wicks and metal offering bowls sit on the marble ledge, and a second person in a white dhoti and maroon-edged cloth stands at the left edge.2012-06-05September 14 20172017-09-14 +1 copiesClose photograph of a ritual tray in a temple or ashram setting. A large ornate gold tray holds small silver bowls and cups, white jasmine-like flowers, pink petals, and a small gold vessel. Their heads and shoulders frame the tray, which is the focus of the scene.2010-09-29May 10 20122012-05-10A small gold-coloured deity murti stands on a gold pedestal, draped in a gold sari and silver jewellery, dressed with a dense garland of white jasmine and yellow marigold strands and red and pink flowers. A bare foot in white clothing with a maroon border steps onto the pedestal at left. Brass items including a bell, a steel bowl and a kalasha-like vessel sit at the base amid scattered petals and flowers, indicating a puja or abhishekam setting.2006-10-30May 10 20122012-05-10May 10 20122012-05-10Close-up of a gold-toned ritual setting heaped with pink, red and white flowers. The gold tray is decorated with floral and scroll patterns. No face is visible.2013-06-25Close-up photograph of bare feet resting on a golden tray during a padapuja-style ritual. The person wears an orange garment visible at the upper right. Around the feet are silver bowls and vessels, pink flower petals, white jasmine-type blossoms, green leaves and gold-coloured garlands with small rudraksha-like beads. Only the feet and orange-clad leg are visible, so no face or full figure can be seen.2010-11-08June 05 20122012-06-05 +1 copies
