An outdoor crowd gathers at a open field under a clear blue sky, many standing with palms pressed together in namaskar as if in prayer. Banana plants with broad green leaves and tall bamboo poles strung with yellow-green leaves frame the foreground. Most people wear white traditional clothing, with women in white saris and men in white shirts and dhotis; one woman in a blue sari stands in the middle. Red and saffron flags flutter on poles in the background, and a few people stand near a low mound of earth. A palm tree and a tree stand beyond a fence line.
