In the foreground, a shirtless man with long dreadlocked hair, a rudraksha mala around his neck and a white cloth at his waist, stands with his back to the camera and raises his arm toward the shrine. Before him is a central murti with a mukut, gold necklaces, a painted face and a large garland of white and yellow flowers, seated on a maroon cloth with a ceremonial sash. Behind it, a large ornate golden and jewelled arch frames two standing deity murtis: one holding a trident with a crown, one in yellow and purple garments. Two attendant statues stand at the sides, one in orange with a turban and one in red with a black beard and tiger-skin wrap, both garlanded in yellow and white. Red drapes hang in the background, and a brass oil lamp is visible at left.2020-12-19A priest in saffron-orange cloth and a rudraksha mala performs aarti with a multi-wick brass lamp before a deity murti dressed in a purple silk garment and garlanded with white and yellow flowers. In the centre foreground, a black Shiva lingam wrapped in a red-and-white draped cloth and marigold and rose garlands sits before the figures. Brass oil lamps and kalasha-style offerings surround the altar, with a green-and-gold cloth and red-and-orange silk drapes framing the scene and colourful painted pillars on either side. Decorative garlands in green, yellow and white hang on the figures, and small offerings sit on the platform in front.2024-07-09KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 3/11/20212021-03-11KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 1/10/20212021-01-10KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 6/25/20212021-06-25KAILASA in Los Angeles on 12/31/20192019-12-31 +3 copiesPhoto 82843322022-10-16 +1 copiesA temple aarti scene.
