A photograph of an evening reception at an outdoor entrance decorated with an arched white gateway, green leaves and orange flowers. A person in an orange turban and long orange robe, with long dark hair, faces a man in a dark grey vest over a white shirt and they greet each other, the robed figure extending both hands. Uniformed police officers in khaki and caps stand nearby, a man in a grey shirt holds a small object, and a child in pink stands at the right edge beside a large magenta fabric drape. Several onlookers are visible in the background and a foreground woman wears blue embroidered clothing. Swamiji (probable) is identified by the saffron turban and robe, long hair and his welcoming role in the greeting.

A man in an orange-saffron shawl and orange turban with long dark hair is smiling and clasping hands with a man in a dark grey vest over a white shirt. Around them stand uniformed police officers in khaki and a crowd of men in olive shirts. A red-and-pink drapery hangs to the right, and a young girl in pink is visible at the lower right edge.
