Outdoor evening scene at a temple with a red-orange shrine structure and a dark stone Shivalinga-style murti garlanded with yellow and white flowers in the background. In the foreground, a richly decorated silver throne with a tiger-striped seat and a silver lion-form base sits to the left, occupied by a figure in orange robes with a bead necklace; the figure's face is visible but the identity is not established by appearance here. A man in orange holds a yellow-handled ceremonial staff with a red pole beside the throne, and another attendant in orange stands near the left edge. In the centre, a bare-backed person in orange cloth with hair in a bun faces the throne, and a person in an orange turban and orange wrap stands at right with bare shoulders. A smaller silver seat holds a flower garland and bananas sit on a multicolour mat. Another person in orange sits at far right.2017-10-01October 01 20172017-10-01Night-time homa at an outdoor ritual area. A large framed portrait of a bearded man in red robes and a red head wrap, hands raised in a gesture, sits on an ornate silver throne with tiger-striped cushions. In front of the throne, a yellow-edged square fire pit holds a burning fire; a bowl of yellow liquid, a brass ritual implement and small offering bowls sit near it. Three young priests in saffron-orange cloth are seated on striped mats: one with an orange head wrap has his back to the camera and reaches toward the fire pit, another with white ash markings and a rudraksha mala sits to the right beside a garland and fruit plate, and a third is partly visible at the lower right. Two more saffron-clad figures stand in the background. Brass oil lamps and a silver tray with flowers are at the left.2017-10-01Night outdoor ritual under a tent canopy. A large framed portrait of a figure in red robes, red head cloth and ornate silver-and-gem throne sits on a tiger-striped cushion, hands raised in a blessing gesture; the portrait is a depiction, not a physical person. Before the throne, a square yellow-edged fire pit (homa/yagna) burns with flames. Two sannyasis in saffron-orange robes sit at the right: one seated with a rudraksha mala and tilak-marked forehead, another in an orange turban holding a brass vessel and offering bowls. A standing sannyasi in orange and a brass oil lamp burning at left add to the scene. A garland of white and orange flowers rests on a silver seat, and a green-covered book with pink flowers lies on the striped mat.2017-10-01Night outdoor fire ritual under a tent canopy with bright spotlights.
