A photograph of participants at a seated initiation event. In the foreground a bearded man with shoulder-length wavy reddish-brown hair, a small hoop earring, a black wristband and a gold bangle, wrapped in a white cloth over his shoulders, keeps his eyes closed while pressing a small silver object to his forehead. Beside him a man with short dark hair and a light beard holds a similar object to his brow, and a white-clad participant appears in the background. White powder marks are visible on the arm of the second man. The setting is a crowded hall with blurred white-clothed attendees.
