Each boy wears a white flower garland and orange or saffron cloth, and several have white sandal or vibhuti markings on their foreheads and bodies. A standing priest on the left in a white dhoti and bare-chested, holding a lit oil lamp and a tray of offerings, performs the ceremony. Behind them, adults sit in white and saffron clothes, and a large deity murti with bright decorations is visible at the right edge. Brass vessels and a small clay pot sit on the floor.
