The deity murti is a golden-bodied female form adorned with dense garlands of yellow, red and white flowers and a red and gold ornamental crown, under a large canopy with orange, teal and white striped fabric and yellow fringe. Men in white dhotis and shirts, one in a blue shirt with a tilak on his forehead, a man in a dark brown shirt with a yellow towel, and others in red-striped shirts walk alongside. Strings of lights and a gopuram-style temple tower stand in the background.2012-04-05A temple sanctum entrance with a deity murti heavily decorated with red, yellow and white garlands, framed by carved stone pillars and painted ceiling beams. Devotees, several bare-chested in white dhotis and others in shirts, press forward toward the garlanded deity, some with hands raised. No individual in the scene is clearly identifiable as a person. The setting suggests darshan or puja at a South Indian temple.2012-04-05A photograph of a temple interior during an evening festival, with a deity murti framed by a large arch of marigold and mixed-colour flower garlands in yellow, orange, red and purple. The metal-decorated murti wears ornate jewellery. Above, a festoon of green, orange and blue cloth with gold trim and red floral patterns hangs, and green banners with gold borders and red emblems flank the shrine. Bright lights illuminate the scene. Several men crowd the foreground, some in white shirts and dhotis, one with a shaved head and tilak, one with a beard in a light shirt. A painted panel of figures decorates the wall behind the shrine.2022-11-30Night procession at a temple festival: a gold-and-jewelled deity murti. The deity wears a tall crown, layered gold necklaces, a blue-violet garment and a red cloth. Garlands hang in the background and dense devotees press around the palanquin-like frame, with a man in white at left reaching toward it.2006-12-04December 31 20052005-12-31Night procession with a deity murti (Shiva/Ardhanari-type form with crown and jewelled ornaments) on a palanquin covered in red, yellow and white garlands. A lit oil lamp on a brass stand sits at the front of the palanquin. Devotees carry and steady the palanquin: a man with white vibhuti on his forehead and eyes closed at left, a man in an orange-red headcloth at lower centre, and bearded men in white and red clothing at right, looking upward. A red car and metal fence stand in the background.2017-12-02January 11 20172017-01-11Two golden deity murtis, each framed by a dense arch of marigold and red garlands with yellow, white and green foliage, stand in a temple sanctum. The left murti wears a gold crown and red-and-gold sari-style dress; the right murti wears a crown and a purple-and-gold garment with heavy gold ornaments. Ornate yellow-and-red tassels hang between them and a gilded lamp hangs above. A crowd of devotees is visible in the foreground, with only heads and shoulders showing, including a man with a tilak. Bright lights and a red-and-gold decorated ceiling frame the scene.2012-04-05November 30 20222022-11-30
