July 21 20102010-07-21A photograph of a temple ritual in progress. In the centre, a person in orange robes and a saffron shawl, with a white and red flower garland and long dark hair, reaches out with one hand to touch a large gleaming golden kalasha or pot adorned with yellow, purple and white marigold and jasmine garlands. A second person in orange robes and a rudraksha-style necklace at left holds a silver tray of offerings. Behind them, brass oil lamps stand near a railing, and a deity murti draped in teal and red silk is visible at right. The setting appears to be an outdoor temple courtyard with a white corrugated roof structure behind.2009-12-27December 22 20182018-12-22 +2 copiesA photograph inside a richly decorated temple shrine. A man seen from behind, bare-shouldered, wears a rust-orange cloth wrapped around his body with a gold border and a gold-chained neck ornament, and his hair is tied in a bun. He leans forward to adorn a small deity murti seated on a gold-framed throne, placing a crown or decoration on its head. The murti wears a white dhoti-like cloth, red and gold ornaments, and an orange scarf. The throne is draped with garlands of red, white, green, yellow and purple flowers, and brass lamps stand in the background beside gilded temple pillars.2012-05-02A man in a sleeveless saffron-orange robe with a gold-beaded garland draped over his shoulders stands in profile beside a gold deity murti with a trident and a jewelled hand. He holds a bundle of red and white flowers and fresh yellow-and-red marigold garlands. White vibhuti marks are visible on his forehead and upper arm. A tall brass oil lamp with a peacock-shaped top stands at left, and a yellow-clad figure with decorated feet appears at right beside the garlands. The scene suggests a temple offering of flowers.2010-07-21December 14 20162016-12-14December 01 20112011-12-01A photograph of a person in an orange saffron robe with long dark hair, bent forward with forehead pressed against a gilded deity murti, one hand resting on the golden base. The murti is draped with a green and gold bordered cloth and garlanded with yellow and magenta marigolds. Brass oil lamps and a small offering stand at the lower left, with a blue-clad figure partly visible at the edge. The person wears a rudraksha mala and gold ornaments.2010-02-12July 21 20102010-07-21Photo inside a temple sanctum of a priest in a rust-brown dhoti and matching shoulder cloth, with a long dark braid and a brown turban, reaching to adorn a deity murti with a dense garland of yellow, orange, red and white flowers. The murti is gilded and decorated with green stone-like ornaments. On the left a young attendant bare-chested with a rudraksha mala holds a silver plate. Another attendant in a red turban stands behind him, and a gilded deity figure in red and gold garments stands at the right. The priest's pose suggests padapuja or alankaram; the clear visible ritual is garlanding the murti.2016-12-14December 14 20162016-12-14A photograph of a saffron-robed man with long, swept-back dark hair reaching toward a large golden linga on a golden deity figure. He wears an orange garment and has a silver tray held by a second person in orange at lower left, while a small figure with dark hair is partly visible at the left edge. The gold linga is adorned with yellow and purple flower garlands, green leaves, and a teal-and-orange cloth draped behind it.
