April 02 20122012-04-02April 02 20122012-04-02Outdoor photo on a dusty dirt ground with trees and a bush behind a wire fence. A central figure in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala beads and bangles, walks barefoot and looks ahead; the appearance cues are distinctive, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) figure in procession. Beside him a man in a white dhoti holds a tray of yellow flowers, and a woman in a blue sari carries a bag. Other devotees in white dhotis, shirts and a red-shirted boy stand around with hands folded, and a stone-coloured jacketed man stands at left. Several people are visible, roughly a dozen.2011-12-09Outdoor ceremony on dry, sparse ground with a low wall and buildings behind. A central man with long dark hair wears an orange shawl over orange dhoti and carries a dark rudraksha mala; appearance cues are long hair, orange clothing and rudraksha, so he is a person candidate walking at the front of the procession. Beside him a man in white ritual cloth with a gold-bordered shawl and a bare upper body stands with hands folded. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti holds a brass plate of yellow flowers or grains, and a woman in orange with a rudraksha mala holds a similar tray. Women in white and cream saris with gold borders and a man in a red checked shirt stand nearby, all in a devotional procession.2012-04-02Outdoor photo of a smiling man in an orange turban and orange draped robe with a long rudraksha mala, walking through a crowd beside a banana plant with green bunches. Saffron flags flutter on poles against palm trees and a blue sky. A broken coconut half lies on the ground at lower center.2010-02-18Outdoor photo on dry, bare ground at a rural site with a low concrete wall and houses behind. In the centre, a man wears a saffron-orange shawl draped over one shoulder and a saffron-orange dhoti with gold-edged borders, with long swept-back dark hair, a tilak on his forehead, a rudraksha mala and sandals; he stands with hands clasped, which is an appearance-based candidate for a person. Around him, men wear white shirts and white dhotis, one holding a tablet, women wear sarees including white and patterned ones, a girl wears a blue checked top, and an orange-robed figure stands at the right edge. About 15 to 20 people are visible.2012-04-02Outdoor procession on bare reddish earth beneath trees.
