Outdoor scene at an ashram entrance with bare earth, a tarpaulin-covered shelter and a concrete wall behind. A large green-and-white information board stands at left. Three women are at a washing station: a woman in a white sari with red-and-brown embroidered border and yellow lanyard rinses her hands or feet over a pink bucket, a second woman in a yellow-and-white sari stands behind her, and a woman in a turquoise floral sari with a rudraksha mala stands at right holding a sandal. A red bucket sits on the ground and many sandals are piled in the foreground.2009-07-07July 07 20092009-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 07 20092009-07-07Outdoor photograph under a tarpaulin canopy at an ashram event, with a rough dirt ground and bamboo supports. A man in white clothes and a yellow-orange neck garland stands at a wooden table at left. A woman in a cream sari with a brown border and a yellow-orange garland walks barefoot across a paved path, carrying small items. Beside her, a woman in an orange sari with a yellow garland and a green leaf in the foreground handles items. A man in a brown-beige shirt bends down near the bottom, and a man in white sits at left, with rows of sandals and slippers laid out on the ground.2009-07-07May 10th 20162016-05-10A photograph of an outdoor ritual gathering beneath a large banyan tree. Several women in saffron-orange and red saris, some with rudraksha malas and forehead markings, gather around a white bucket of reddish liquid set in red-brown earth. One woman in a red and gold sari and another in an orange sari lean over the bucket, while others bend nearby. A woman in a teal blouse and blue wrap stands with a mala. A woman in white stands at left and men in white and green clothing appear in the background. The scene appears to be a group ceremonial activity such as a puja or offering.2016-09-11A woman in a white sari with a lilac-and-mauve border stands bent forward on dirt ground, holding a pair of white sandals in one hand. She wears a rudraksha mala and a yellow lanyard with a badge, and gold bangles on her wrist. Behind her are a grey concrete block wall, a red plastic bucket, a green banana plant and small shrubs with orange flowers.2009-07-07February 23 20082008-02-23August 18 20162016-08-18Outdoor photo of a large crowd gathered under a canopy hung with colourful tassels and netting at a muddy open ground. In the centre, a man in white clothes raises a clay pot or kalasha overhead while people stand around blue plastic drums of water. Women in white saris and yellow-bordered garments, some with bindis and gold jewellery, lean forward smiling and reach toward the water. Men in white shirts and dhotis stand in the background, and there are white vehicles and shed structures beyond. Many people are visible, so the scene is busy and large.2009-12-25May 10th 20162016-05-10June 20 20082008-06-20
