A crowd of devotees gathers in front of a golden gateway with a tiered, red-and-gold gopuram-style tower decorated with deity figures and lion sculptures. Men in white dhotis and shirts stand alongside men bare-chested in orange-red dhotis and women in saris, and a small boy in an orange shirt and green shorts stands in the foreground. In the distance beyond the gate, a decorated palanquin or ratha with a figure seated on it is visible. Overcast sky, trees at left and a golden kalasha-topped shrine at right.

A group of about a dozen people walks across a paved courtyard toward a tall, ornately carved gopuram tower of a South Indian temple, its tiers covered in sculpted figures. Most walkers wear white dhotis and shirts; a few women wear white saris and a man in front wears an orange-saffron dhoti. A bare-headed man in orange-saffron robes walks at the front right, and an elderly man in saffron wraps stands at right beside a low tiled-roof building with white walls. Clear blue sky and a utility line overhead.

Night view of a illuminated South Indian temple gopuram, a tiered tower densely carved with deity and figure sculptures, lit by floodlights at its top. A doorway below leads into a glowing inner shrine. In front, a row of about nine seated figures in saffron and orange robes rests along the paved approach, and a single standing figure in a dark robe stands near the entrance. Metal railings and a small stall with a canopy stand at the right, and a tree grows at the left. The scene resembles a temple precinct at night, with the saffron-clad group as devotees or sannyasis.

Night photograph at a temple gateway with a grey stone entrance and open green-and-yellow doors leading into a lit inner hall. A central figure in a deep maroon robe wears a large yellow-and-orange marigold garland and stands in the middle of a group. Around him, devotees in saffron-orange robes and rudraksha malas walk alongside, one in an orange dhoti with white body markings holds a brass or metal ritual object, and women in saris and a man in a white shirt stand nearby. Children at left watch and gesture. The group is walking into the temple for a procession, with a red-and-white lit doorway and a sign board above the entrance.

Night procession at a temple gateway with a stone entrance, tiled floor and a lit shrine visible inside. A central figure in a reddish-brown robe wears a long white and yellow flower garland and is walked through the doorway. Around him, several men and women in saffron-orange dhotis and garlands carry objects, one bare-chested man wears a sacred white ash marking and orange dhoti and folds his hands, and a woman in a white sari stands nearby. Children watch at left, and a foreign woman in orange with a garland stands at right. The scene appears to be a ritual welcome or procession. Whether the garlanded robed figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.
