Several workers in light clothing stand on the roof and along a wooden ladder, tying and fixing the fronds. Another worker in a red cap stands at the base of the wall. Stacked palm mats and thatch bundles lie on red earth in the foreground, and leafy trees and a blue sky fill the background.2009-10-15July 22 20102010-07-22A photograph of an open-sided rural structure under construction with a conical thatched roof of dried palm fronds over a bamboo frame, set on a round red-painted brick plinth. A man in a white shirt stands on top of the thatched roof, and several people in white dhotis and white shirts work around the base, including one seated on a blue plastic chair at the left and others near a low bamboo platform. Red-leafed plants and green shrubs line the foreground, with a bare tree, palm trees and a utility pole with wires behind. The clear blue sky and dusty ground suggest a outdoor preparation site.
