A photograph of workers laying a hexagonal paver floor on bare sandy ground at an ashram construction site. Four men crouch on the pale grey hexagonal tiles and sand, one in a white shirt with a red sash, one in a red-and-black cap and striped shirt, one in a blue striped shirt and jeans, and one in an orange shirt and grey trousers, placing tiles and checking alignment with a string line. A woman in an orange sari with floral prints stands at the right edge beside stacked grey paver blocks. A wooden log and a sack lie in the foreground. No swami or ritual activity is visible.

Outdoor construction scene on bare sandy ground laying hexagonal white paving tiles in a pattern. A man in a blue-and-white checked shirt and jeans crouches at the left, setting tiles. A woman in an orange sari with green border and a head covering kneels at right, placing a grey block beside a tape line. Standing workers in the background wear checked lungis and shirts, one holding a tool. Tools include a hammer, trowel, level, a shallow metal tray and string guidelines. Stacks of grey pavers sit to the right.

Outdoor construction work on a dusty courtyard at an ashram. Workers lay white hexagonal paving tiles with pink accent tiles on a sandy ground. A man in a blue checked shirt crouches to set tiles while a group of villagers stand watching: men in lungis and checked cloths, and women in orange, saffron-and-green, and cream saris with head coverings. A woman in orange holds a steel plate, and several steel plates and concrete blocks lie around. A white plinth with red and white borders stands at left, and a red-based pedestal with a white top stands at right. A white-clad figure is partly visible at the left edge.

A photograph of ashram grounds under construction beside a red multi-storey building with window air conditioners. Several workers, mostly men in red head cloths and casual clothes, are laying large grey stone slabs in a paving bed of wet mortar. One worker in a yellow shirt kneels to set a stone, another in white bends over the bed, and a man in a blue shirt stands holding a long rod. A man in a white shirt watches nearby, and a smaller red building with a sloped green roof stands on the right beside a yellow crane. Around ten people are visible in total.

Outdoor construction site where workers lay grey stone paving blocks along a sandy strip beside red-painted steps and potted plants. Five men work in simple clothes: one in a striped green shirt and checked lungi bends over the stones, another in a white shirt and red headband marks the edge with a tool, and a man in an orange top and green headwear places stone. Piles of rebar and rubble lie to the left, with a fence and small trees behind.

Outdoor construction site with workers laying grey stone blocks and paving on a long flight of red-and-white painted steps. Five men work in lightweight clothing: one in a green shirt crouches at left, one in a white shirt with a red head cloth kneels in front, one in an orange top and white dhoti bends over the steps at right, and two more stand in white and yellow clothes in the background. Piles of rusted iron rebar, cut stone slabs and loose gravel lie around, with dry earth and mounds of sand behind a green wire fence.

A photograph of four men laying stone paving on a dirt construction site outdoors. A man in a pink shirt and checked lungi bends forward holding a long-handled tool to press cement between grey stone slabs. Beside him a man in a cream shirt and striped lungi stands watching, and an older man in a checked shirt and white head cloth crouches to set a large pale stone slab with a blue bucket beside him. A man in a yellow striped shirt helps guide the slab, and an older man in a light blue shirt and dark trousers stands at right. Behind them stand a shed, a red container and banana plants, with stacked stone blocks scattered across the ground.
