A central figure with long, swept-back dark hair and a sandalwood forehead mark wears a saffron-orange wrap and a heavy ornate gold necklace with large beads; he walks with head bowed. Swamiji (probable): the long hair, saffron garment and ceremonial gold necklace match the candidate's appearance. Around him, a man in a white shirt with a dark rudraksha mala holds a tall gold-and-red ceremonial staff and calls out, while others in white and saffron, one in yellow, press palms together in greeting. A bystander in a white shirt with glasses smiles nearby.2008-12-23December 23 20082008-12-23Outdoor photo of a crowd gathered at a temple-style courtyard. In the centre, a man with long, swept-back dark hair, a white tilak on his forehead, a bare upper body, a saffron-orange wrap and a thick gold bead necklace kneels among others. Men in saffron-orange robes stand behind him, one with clasped hands in a namaste gesture and a gold necklace, and men in white dhotis sit nearby. Behind them, a large crowd of onlookers in white and light clothing fills the space beside a pink walled building. The distinctive hair, wrap and gold beads are cues that suit a candidate for a person, though the appearance is not certain.2010-12-29December 23 20082008-12-23July 03 20122012-07-03 +1 copiesOutdoor photo of a crowd gathered under a striped tent canopy decorated with orange and yellow marigold garlands.
