A photograph of a gathering in a white-draped hall with red curtains and a vase of pink flowers on a low table. A tall man in an orange robe with a rudraksha mala stands at right, his long dark hair swept back, facing a seated group. Seated on white cushions are a man in a yellow sari-style wrap, a man in orange with an orange turban and beaded necklaces, and two older men in orange robes, one with a bead necklace. Behind them, people in white and orange clothing stand near the walls and banners. Swamiji (probable): the standing man in orange has long swept-back hair and a rudraksha mala, consistent with the page caption.2007-08-09August 09 20072007-08-09Indoor ceremony hall with white plastic chairs and white sofas draped in white cloth, metal scaffolding, and banners hanging from the ceiling. A woman in a white top with an orange shawl bends forward to offer respect to a bald, saffron-clad elder seated on the couch center. Beside him a long-haired figure in yellow robes sits next to a saffron-clad man with a dark beard and orange turban. A barefoot woman in orange robes sits at right on a mat. Behind, roughly a dozen people in white and orange shawls stand with hands folded in greeting near lattice screens. A printed backdrop banner and wall photos line the room.2007-08-09August 09 20072007-08-09A seated man in saffron-orange sleeveless robes and a long dark rudraksha mala sits on a pale green cushioned seat before a deep red velvet curtain. He smiles and extends both hands to clasp the hands of an older bearded man in orange and peach shawl who bows forward in front of him. Behind them stand a bald man in white with an orange scarf, a man in white with a yellow cloth, and a woman in white at right. A young girl in a pale yellow dress and another child in white stand at the right edge. The seat has a red cushion and a gold-toned ornament.2010-07-27A seated gathering of saffron-robed sannyasis and devotees on white-draped seating in a hall with a microphone stand. In the centre two elderly men in orange dhotis and shawls sit side by side on a white couch, one with hands folded. On the left a man in a yellow garment with long hair sits beside a monk in orange with a turban and rudraksha mala who speaks into the microphone. On the right a woman in orange with a mala gestures toward the group, and a man in white and another in orange sit behind. Pink flowers stand in a pot at left, and a rainbow striped mat lies on the floor. Two devotees in white and orange sit in the foreground.2007-08-09A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban sits on a white-covered throne with bolster and tasselled cushions, palms pressed together in namaste with eyes closed. A kneeling man in white dress with a rudraksha mala stands or kneels beside him with hands folded, and several men in white shirts and dhotis stand behind with hands in anjali. A woman in a light top stands at the back. Behind them hangs a large banner portrait of a smiling man with a red bindi, a Tamil slogan printed on it, and gold drapes with white flower garlands frame the stage. The seated figure is visibly a candidate for the described a person but appearance cues are only partly distinctive (orange turban and robes, long hair), so identity is uncertain.2009-06-17August 01 20082008-08-01
