Two bronze deity figures, seated side by side on a raised pedestal, are being bathed. A man in a saffron-orange robe with a white forehead mark pours water over the figures from a pot held in his hands, and water runs down onto a black stone lingam-shaped basin. Nearby, three men in white dhotis with orange sashes stand at the basin edge, and a brass vessel and small brass pots sit on the wet floor beside a small white figurine and small shrine model. Green trees and shrubs are visible beyond the pillars, and the basin holds scattered petals.2007-09-24March 23 20082008-03-23 +1 copiesApril 09 20082008-04-09A stone shrine pavilion with carved pillars holds two painted deity murtis under an arched golden frame, one wearing an orange crown and the other a tall crown, both garlanded with marigolds and purple flowers. Two gold-toned statues of a seated deity pair stand on a dark stone pedestal, with a black lingam at the base and a small white and gold shrine piece in front. Water and scattered petals fill the pool around the pedestal. Two men stand at left: one in white dhoti and white shirt with hands joined, and a bald man in an orange-saffron robe holding a lit flame on a handled lamp aloft toward the deities. A brass vessel sits on the floor near them. Trees and shrubs surround the pavilion behind.2007-09-24A priest in an orange dhoti and orange shawl stands at left, shaved head with a white tripundra on his forehead, holding a silver lamp with a lit flame toward a shivalinga and a pair of seated bronze deity murtis on a dark stone pedestal. The seated figures wear crowns and gold ornaments; the male figure holds a trident-like implement. Two attendants in white dhotis stand behind the priest, one with hands folded in namaste. A brass vessel sits at the base of the pedestal, and flower petals float in the water pool beneath, with a small bronze figure and a small kalasha-shaped object placed on the pool's edge. Trees and a stone-pillared pavilion surround the scene.2007-09-24
