October 06 20082008-10-06A photograph of a pada puja during a house visit. A long-haired man in rust-orange and maroon silk sits on a cushioned seat, his bare right arm extended as he places a hand on the head of an elderly man in white who kneels before him. A woman in white with a floral garland kneels beside them, hands folded in anjali. Behind them a young saffron-robed attendant holds a plate with apples and a sweet, another attendant in white holds a rudraksha mala, and a saffron-robed attendant on the right holds a staff. The room has blue walls, a framed shelf on the left and a white-clothed group in the background.2014-06-22A photograph of a ceremonial stage with a large gilded throne backed by a red velvet cushion and decorated with garlands of yellow, orange and white flowers, under a floral canopy. A man in a red silk kurta with gold trim and a cream turban sits on the throne with a gold-bordered shawl, gesturing with his right hand while a kneeling woman in a white sari with a striped border touches his foot on a white draped platform. To the left, a standing man in an orange ochre robe with gold necklaces and a rudraksha mala watches. Partially visible at the right edge is another figure in orange clothing. The white draped platform and floral garlands are prominent.2008-01-07A photograph on a stage with a white sheet-draped platform. A seated man in a maroon and gold kurta with a beige turban and long swept-back hair sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne decorated with white and yellow flower garlands; he smiles while holding a rudraksha mala. Before him, a long-haired devotee in white kurta and dhoti kneels with hands joined, a rudraksha mala around the neck. To the left, a seated man in saffron robes with a gold chain and folded hands kneels, and another saffron-robed figure stands at the edge. The seated figure with long hair and turban matches the swamiji description cues of a crown-like turban, swept-back hair, ornate clothing and rudraksha mala, so this is a probable Swamiji in person receiving a devotee's respects. Multiple people are visible.2008-01-07A seated man in long, swept-back dark hair and an orange saffron robe with a rudraksha mala places his right hand on the crown of the head of a kneeling devotee in a white kurta and white dhoti. The devotee has his palms pressed together at his forehead in a receiving gesture. Behind them hang deep red velvet curtains, with a potted palm and a gold-topped ornament at the edge of the frame, and a second figure in a golden-yellow robe sits in the background. The seated man's appearance, with long hair, orange robes and rudraksha beads, is a probable match for Swamiji and suggests a blessing or initiation moment. Two people are visible.2008-01-25A photograph of a seated figure in a bright orange-red robe and a long white and green flower garland with a gold pendant, placing a hand on the head of a kneeling devotee in white dhoti and kurta with an orange shawl. The seated figure has long swept-back dark hair and a bare shoulder, sitting on a white-covered couch against a gold draped backdrop with white flower strings. A woman in white sari with orange border and a rudraksha mala stands to the right. Green floor covering is scattered with flower petals.2006-11-05March 17 20132013-03-17A seated man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing rust-orange robes with gold borders, rudraksha mala necklaces, and ornate beaded armlets, smiles while receiving red fruit from a kneeling man in a white shirt. Behind them, saffron-robed young men with shaved heads and white forehead markings stand, one holding a rudraksha mala, and a white-clad attendant holds beads. Another person in a peach garment bows at the lower right. A red cushioned seat, a table fan and a glass cabinet with decorative objects are visible. Swamiji (probable) is the seated man, identified by his long hair, ornate ceremonial necklaces and rust-orange robes, receiving fruit in a devotee's home visit.2014-06-22 +1 copiesA photograph in a hall with red velvet drapes. A man with grey hair, wearing a white kurta and a rudraksha mala with a small name badge, kneels on a white-draped platform and touches the forehead of a seated figure. That seated figure has long swept-back dark hair, wears an orange saffron robe and a rudraksha mala, and sits on a white-covered couch beside a tall brass oil lamp with a flame and flower. Behind them a man in orange robes sits on the floor, and a potted palm stands at left. The seated figure matches the Swamiji appearance cues of long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, so the in-person candidate is probable, while the kneeling devotee in white is a devotee.2008-01-25January 07 20082008-01-07Indoor event photo on a stage with white cushioned seating and deep red velvet drapes. A seated figure with long dark hair wears a rust-orange robe with a long gold ceremonial necklace and is seated on a white bolster-backed throne with orange cushions, a vase of red and white flowers at the left edge. The figure extends the hands forward while a man in a white shirt and black belt kneels before them, his hands clasped near a white thread or cord held by the seated figure. A shaven-headed young monk in orange robes with a maroon shawl sits at the lower left, and a microphone stand is at right. Swamiji (probable) is seated on the throne with long hair, gold necklace and orange robe; the kneeling man and monk are devotees or priests.2008-04-13April 11 20132013-04-11 +2 copies
