December 17 20132013-12-17December 17 20132013-12-17December 17 20132013-12-17A procession on a stone path under a red, green and gold ornate canopy umbrella with bird emblems. A central figure in a rust-brown dhoti-style garment wears a large gold ceremonial necklace, a red flower garland and a tall black hair crown, walking forward. Around him men in white dhotis with gold borders and orange-clad attendants carry tall silver staffs, a trident and decorated fans, with palm trees behind. The central figure's appearance (crown, ornate gold necklace, saffron-toned clothing) gives a probable match for a person in procession, but identity is uncertain from appearance alone. Several people are visible, roughly six to twenty.2016-07-19Outdoor procession on a stone-paved garden path lined with green lawn, palms, frangipani trees and a stone temple gateway. Under a multicoloured fringed canopy (umbrella) carried at the rear, a robed figure in ochre-orange garments and a rudraksha mala walks at the centre, flanked by people in white kurtas and white dhotis. Several men in front carry long silver-tipped staffs topped with trident-like finials. Devotees in white and orange clothing follow, and onlookers stand at the edges. At centre, a man in a rust-orange dhoti and shawl, with a red-and-gold turban, a large gold necklace and rudraksha malas, walks ahead of attendants. Men in white dhotis with gold borders carry long staffs and shoulder wooden poles, and many colourful umbrellas with gold fringe and round emblems, red, yellow, blue and pink, are held above the group. Women in saris and onlookers stand along the sides. Presentation cues of the central figure are distinctive (turban, ornate gold necklace, saffron-toned clothing), so he is a person in procession, though the appearance is not fully certain. Ritual procession with umbrellas and a ceremonial walk.2016-12-14A procession of devotees walks along a paved path toward a stone gateway with a split temple tower in a green, misty hillside setting.
