He is smiling and looking downward. A hand rests on the shoulder of a young man in a pastel plaid shirt with a white and red tilak on his forehead, who is speaking. Beside him an older woman with grey hair, a red bindi and a patterned sari watches, and men in white shirts stand behind them. The setting appears to be an indoor hall with orange and blue fabric in the background.2012-05-10June 24 20142014-06-24 +2 copiesA photograph of a blessing moment indoors with arched cream walls. A man in a long-sleeved white shirt and mala beads sits with hands pressed in namaste, head bowed. Beside him an older grey-haired man bows with his head lowered. On the right, a figure with long swept-back dark hair, a white tilak on the forehead and a red bindi, wearing an orange-saffron shawl, a flower garland of pink roses and gold ornaments, reaches out and places a hand on the bowed man's head in a blessing, smiling and holding a small white paper. Behind them a man in a brown t-shirt and glasses smiles with hands in namaste, and other onlookers stand nearby. Swamiji (probable) is the figure with the saffron shawl and rose garland giving the blessing; appearance cues include long swept-back hair, ornate gold necklace and saffron clothing.2012-06-20 +1 copies
