A young boy priest with a shaved head, white vibhuti stripes on his forehead and arms, a rudraksha mala, and an orange and saffron cloth wrapped around his body performs aarti with a brass oil lamp with several flames held before a black stone deity murti. The murti wears a silver crown, a red silk garment, a garland of yellow marigolds and green leaves, and pink flowers are placed on the pedestal. A golden arched backdrop and a brass lamp stand stand behind and to the right. The setting is a temple shrine with dark polished granite walls. The boy is the only physical person visible.

A photograph of a shrine inside a temple. A young priest with a bare upper body, white ash stripes on his arms and forehead, and an orange cloth around his waist holds a brass aarti lamp with lit flames toward a black stone deity murti. The murti is draped in red cloth, adorned with a silver crown, a silver necklace, yellow marigold garlands and green leaf garlands, and sits on a dark pedestal decorated with pink flowers. A tall brass oil lamp stands at the right, and a small brass figure of Ganesha sits at the bottom centre against a gold-framed arch.

A woman in a magenta sari and gold bangles stands at the left, leaning forward to offer a lit oil lamp (deepa) before a black stone deity murti dressed in red cloth with a silver crown, white flower garlands, green leaf garlands and ornate silver necklaces. The murti sits in a gold arched niche against black tiled walls. Two brass oil lamps flank the altar, which is decorated with yellow and white flowers and a small red-clad figure. A wooden door with carved panels is at the right. The scene suggests a puja at a shrine.

A woman in an orange saree stands at the left of a temple shrine, holding a brass lamp in one hand while standing by a row of tall brass lamp stands. Behind her, a black deity murti with a crown and garlands sits in a gold arched niche decorated with floral strings and sequined green-and-gold arches, wearing a blue and pink saree. In front of the deity, a smaller gold-coloured figure sits on a red cloth beside a kalasha, cups and offerings with lit oil lamps. Framed portraits hang on the walls, and the floor is polished maroon stone.

A woman in an orange saree sits on the floor at lower left, lighting an oil lamp held in her right hand before a small seated figure dressed in red with a white turban and beaded necklaces. Behind them stands a dark deity murti with four arms, wearing a silver crown, white garlands and a yellow-and-green skirt, framed by a golden arch and flanked by tall brass lamp stands. Framed portraits hang on the wall: a smiling figure in red and a robed figure in saffron at upper right, with a saint in a white shawl at right, and a figure with curly hair in red at left. Plates of offerings, flowers and brass vessels sit on a red cloth in front. The scene shows a puja in progress in a shrine room with a dark marble floor.

A priest with bare upper body, orange dhoti with gold border, orange sash and white sacred markings on his arm stands at left holding a brass plate with a lamp toward the murti, performing an aarti or naivedyam-related offering. Brass oil lamps stand at the base and a row of small black Nandi-like figures sits below the altar. No a person candidate is visible.

A woman in a red and maroon sari bends forward at the left, holding a small offering near a dark-faced deity murti decorated with a crown, red and gold silk garment, and garlands of yellow marigolds, white jasmine and red roses. Two ornate gold lamp stands flank the murti, and a green silk cloth with a yellow offering sits at its base. Below, a folded red cloth with a garland and a brown turban-like cloth lie on the floor. Framed photographs on the wall show a smiling figure in red and a hand-raised figure in orange robes, though no portrait is labelled. The setting is a marble-walled shrine with a gold arched niche behind the murti.
