Beyond the water, a raised dais with a dark arched backdrop and striped yellow-and-red draping stands in front of tiered seating filled with rows of people in white. Several monks with shaved heads in orange robes stand on the steps at the water's edge facing the dais, some with a child-sized figure among them.
