A large seated congregation of men and boys fills a hall during a Kalpataru meditation session at the Bengaluru ashram. Most wear white dhotis with gold borders and bare upper bodies, with rudraksha malas and sandalwood or vibhuti tilaka on their foreheads. Several wear saffron or red shawls. Some sit on striped mats, eyes closed or hands folded in meditation. Behind them a stage area with a white-clad figure and an overhead red-and-gold backdrop are visible.
