He wears a white vertical tilak on his forehead, a beaded garland of orange-gold beads, and a wristwatch. Behind him, a crowd of devotees, many in white clothing, sit holding small lit candles. A purple dove logo appears in the top-left corner. The man has a shaved head and a tilak, with a saffron shawl and a garland; appearance-based cues are not strong enough to identify a specific person, so the role is given as priest performing aarti.2012-09-08October 25 20122012-10-25A shaved-headed man in an orange dhoti and orange shawl stands at right, holding a tiered brass aarti lamp with many lit flames aloft in both hands. A brass bell rests on a steel counter in the foreground. Many women seated on the floor in orange and green saris and orange shawls hold small lamps and sit in rows, facing the aarti. Wall posters and a chalkboard are visible in the background. The priest is appearance-based and unverified; no face-based identification is made, so he is described by role only.2017-01-08November 18 20152015-11-18September 26 20122012-09-26A photograph of a bald, bare-chested sannyasi in saffron-orange cloth performing aarti with a tiered brass lamp holding many lit oil flames in his raised hands.
