A young girl in a blue silk blouse with green trim, a small gold maang tikka in her hair, gold bangles and a beaded necklace, holds a small silver puja vessel in both hands during a ritual. Beside her, a woman in an orange and white sari and a woman in a yellow blouse with palms pressed together stand before an ornate gold-carved panel. Silver trays with flowers and offerings sit in the foreground, and a lit oil lamp flame is visible at right. Women wear vibhuti marks on their foreheads. Two people in orange robes appear at the left edge, partially visible.

Devotees sit cross-legged on mats in a bright hall performing a puja ritual. A young woman in a teal kurta with a red scarf rings a small brass bell while holding a lit oil lamp; a girl in an orange printed top and grey patterned pants holds a lamp with cupped hands; a woman in a green patterned blouse holds a lit lamp toward the front. Brass oil lamps and thali plates with flowers, fruit and sweets are arranged on floor mats. Several other participants in white and colourful dress sit behind, some with tilak on their foreheads, and red curtains hang at the windows.

A row of seated devotees in saffron-orange and peach ceremonial clothing hold lit camphor or lamp flames aloft in an aarti-style ritual, their arms extended toward flame-filled brass plates on orange cloth. Several brass bells, a conch shell, and small brass dishes with flowers and offerings sit on the floor at right. Multiple flickering oil lamps glow in the background, and the dim setting suggests an evening ceremony. The image is a photograph taken from the side of the row.
