A tilak mark is on his forehead and his long dark hair falls past his shoulders. A second person in an orange robe on the right holds a gold-rimmed tray. Palm fronds form the background. a person: the long swept hair, ceremonial gold necklace and ritual aarti with bell and lamp are the cues; he appears to be performing aarti at the pillar.2010-12-20A man in saffron-brown robes with a gold-bordered cloth stands holding a lit silver aarti lamp with a tall flame, wearing a thick necklace of red and orange beads with gold bead accents and red flower garlands. Behind him, a second figure in orange robes and a white headband stands at left, and golden floral decorations and a draped red curtain fill the background.2013-05-19A barefoot man in a lime-green silk dhoti-style garment with a teal border stands on a dark tiled floor under a large tree, holding a silver aarti plate with a burning flame in one hand and a silver bell in the other. He wears a multi-strand silver bead necklace, a silver armlet and bangles, and a red tilak on his forehead; his long dark hair is swept back. Appearance-based cues (long swept-back hair, ornate silver jewellery, ceremonial silk) are consistent with a candidate, but identity is uncertain.2011-12-16 +1 copiesOutdoor photo at dusk of a long-haired man in a yellow-green dhoti-style garment with gold-toned beaded necklace and gold armlet, holding a silver aarti lamp with lit wicks and a small handbell, facing a large ornate temple chariot or pillar decorated with yellow and pink flower garlands. Behind him stands a priest in an orange-red robe and gold necklace holding a metal kalasha, with a white-clad attendant beside and palm trees in the background. A lit lamp glows on a stand. The setting suggests a temple ritual at a ratha or ceremonial structure, with the man performing aarti. The figure has long swept-back hair, sacred marks on the forehead and gold ornaments, but the appearance is uncertain for identification purposes; he is described by role as the aarti-performing person.2010-12-20March 07 20132013-03-07May 26 20132013-05-26Outdoor ritual photograph under a corrugated metal roof with palm trees behind.
