In the centre, a wooden figure in a red and pink wrapped costume with arms raised stands on a red pedestal. A golden lion-faced figure, a brass oil lamp with flower garlands, and a table covered with folded red, blue and green cloths and tassels are nearby. A woman in an orange sari sits on the floor at right, beside heaps of white and red flower garlands and blue plastic sheets. Deity murti dressing and decoration are being prepared.2011-10-01A photograph of a temple-decoration workspace in a bright room. On a steel-topped table lie folded and rolled fabrics in deep blue, maroon, magenta and lime green, with orange ribbons and gold-and-white beaded ornaments at left. Behind the table stands a large gilded lion-faced figure beside a gold-and-red pedestal, and a painted blue backdrop with gold decorations is visible at upper left. A woman in an orange sari sits at the right, working on the cloth. Scattered petals and flower garlands lie on the floor.2011-10-01Indoor puja room with a gilded throne and red velvet seat on the right, where a man in a maroon-brown shawl and white garland sits smiling beside a large lion-form armrest. On the left, a figure in a brown-orange garment and silver ornaments sits on a green cushion before a tall multicoloured garland, with a lit oil lamp beside it. Centre foreground shows a garlanded silver-and-white fabric-draped object and a brass vessel with offerings on a low red cloth, and a dark maroon curtain backs the scene. A wall-mounted air conditioner is visible at right.2015-06-03A photograph of a metal deity murti wrapped in red and orange cloth bound with twine, inside a wooden temple structure with gold-painted carved brackets. The murti has long black hair and a crown-like ornament, and a red shawl with gold border hangs down its side. Red and white flower garlands hang in the background. At left, a person in white top and orange cloth stands partly visible, and a small portion of another figure appears at the far left. The wrapping appears to be a padding or dressing of the murti during a ritual setup.2011-10-01A photograph of a deity murti standing on an orange-cushioned pedestal at the centre of the frame, dressed with a long garland of orange, yellow, green, maroon and white flowers and jewelled ornaments. Gold lion-shaped vahanas or mounts flank the base, with ornate gold-tone lion and bird figures and a gilt chair frame. Behind it hang patterned fabrics and a dark curtain, and a gold trident and other ceremonial items sit on the left, with a wooden cabinet decorated in gold. No people are visible.2010-11-12December 22 20102010-12-22December 07 20072007-12-07December 22 20102010-12-22A photograph of a stage set as a temple shrine. On the right, a man with a shaved-looking dark head wrap sits on an ornate silver throne with a leopard-print cushion, palms pressed together in namaskar. He wears orange robes, a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace; a bare-chested figure with long swept hair and a crown-like headdress would be needed to qualify as a probable identification, and the visible cues here are limited, so the sitter is described by role only. In the centre, a decorated deity murti with a fierce red face and a trident stands before a silver arch, garlanded with red and multicoloured flower strands and set on a leaf and brass vessels. On the left, a woman in an orange drape gestures toward the murti. A silver trident stands beside the throne and a painted temple backdrop fills the background.2018-04-22A stage decorated with a golden lion throne base and floral garlands in yellow, purple, red and white. On the left, a standing bronze-coloured statue in a red garment with a red turban and gold necklace stands with hands folded and a red-orange cloth draped behind it. On the right, a seated man wearing a red robe, a red-and-gold shawl and a long beaded necklace sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a garland-draped backrest, with a dark curtain behind him. Below and to the right, a shaven-headed man in a maroon robe bows with his face in his hands, and several women in white and pastel saris sit or kneel near the stage. A gold-framed wooden table stands before the throne with a small black device on it. a person: the seated figure has long swept-back hair, a long beaded necklace and a red robe, consistent with the page's a person claim, though the face is not visible enough to confirm.2010-12-22April 24 20132013-04-24
