December 19 20162016-12-19A crowded nighttime temple scene with dense marigold garlands strung across the top and banana plants flanking gilded arched shrines. In the centre, decorated deity murtis stand adorned with flower garlands and ornaments beneath a golden canopy. Many people, mostly women in white and colourful saris and salwar kameez, press around the shrines; one woman in a pink top and white sari raises a phone to photograph, and a woman in a blue sari stands nearby. A figure in a purple shawl and white clothing is in the foreground. Brass lamps and offerings sit on the lower left, and a gilded seat appears at the edge.2016-12-19December 19 20162016-12-19A photograph of a crowded darshan area inside a decorated temple-style pavilion lit with green and blue lights. An ornate golden arch with carved figures frames a central deity murti dressed in bright garments and garlanded with marigold strings. Devotees crowd the foreground: women in saris and salwar, men in white dhotis and shirts, and a few in orange-red shawls. Golden kalasha-like pillars and brass ornaments flank the shrine, and a white fabric ceiling covers the hall.2016-04-25Photo 11728226 +1 copiesApril 05 20122012-04-05Night-time ritual scene in a temple-style shrine decorated with yellow marigold garlands overhead and banana leaves at the corners. Two large deity murtis sit on ornate golden thrones with silver-and-gold crowns, draped in white cloth, garlanded with yellow and red flower strings, and flanked by black stone sculptures. In front, a fire pit burns with an offering tray of flowers and fruit. Standing at the right, two attendants in saffron-orange dhotis, one with a white shawl and one wearing a green turban, present flower garlands. Two people in white with long hair attend near the left throne, one holding a lamp. Striped mat on the floor, oil lamps lit, a homa or puja in progress.2016-12-19December 12 20162016-12-12April 24 20162016-04-24April 24 20162016-04-24April 25 20162016-04-25April 20 20112011-04-20
