Photo of three people walking across a patterned carpet in a hotel ballroom with a blank projection screen on the back wall and buffet tables at right. At left, a bald man with a red-and-gold shawl over white dhoti carries a brass kalasha-style vessel with a green leaf and fruit on a tray. In the centre, a long-haired person in a cream silk kurta and dhoti with gold border, palms pressed together in namaste, eyes lowered, walks forward. At right, a woman in a green sari with orange border and orange blouse, holding a white paper plate, looks on. Several other attendees in saris are visible in the background.2006-04-21April 21 20062006-04-21April 21 20062006-04-21April 21 20062006-04-21January 18 20102010-01-18 +1 copiesAugust 17 20122012-08-17March 15 20062006-03-15A photograph taken from above of a wooden-panelled staircase with a patterned red and gold carpet and red railings wrapped in string lights. In the foreground, a man with grey hair in white clothes with a red-and-saffron shawl carries a brass tray. Beside him, a long-haired figure in a white robe, hands folded in namaskar, walks down the stairs. Behind them, women in red and orange saris and a person in white stand on the landing near glass doors. Framed red artworks hang on the upper wall. Several people are visible, and the scene suggests a procession or ritual ceremony.2006-04-21A photograph of a welcome at the entrance of a building with glass doors and a tiled floor with a colourful rangoli mat. A man in a white dhoti with a purple-and-gold border holds a silver tray of fruit, flowers and a brass vessel, the traditional welcome for a guest. Beside him, a long-haired man in an all-white outfit with a gold-bordered shawl stands with palms pressed together in namaste, a white tilak on his forehead. A young girl in a pink top and white skirt, and several older women in saris and shawls, stand nearby, one with palms joined. Hanging lights decorate the ceiling.2006-03-22March 03 20112011-03-03April 30 20062006-04-30July 08 20142014-07-08
