A standing priest in a rust-orange turban, rudraksha mala and maroon-brown cloth holds a flaming ladle over the fire. Behind him, a white-clad figure with folded hands stands, and seated devotees in white dhotis and orange shawls sit on striped mats, many with palms joined. A brass multi-branch lamp stand and brass vessels with offerings lie in the foreground, and a brass kalasha-style pot sits near the fire, with smoke rising.2015-07-09A tall fire rises from a brick-lined homa pit in the foreground, with a copper vessel and offerings beside it. A man in the centre wears a red-orange turban and a dark beaded mala, and tends the fire while holding a ladle-like implement. Behind him, several men in white dhotis and shawls sit in a blurred group, one wearing a dark mala and another a red head wrap. The scene reads as a fire ritual during a yagna. Any identification of a person is not supported by distinctive visible cues, so the role of the central figure is described as a priest tending the homa.2015-07-09July 09 20152015-07-09 +2 copiesJuly 17 20152015-07-17July 17 20152015-07-17January 06 20182018-01-06A homa fire ceremony at night, with a yellow-bordered fire pit blazing in the foreground.
