A photograph in a bright airport arrivals hall at night, with an arrivals sign in English and Kannada. A group in white dhotis and saffron-red robes walks toward the camera. A man in the centre wears a long white and multicolour flower garland and holds a bouquet, with rudraksha beads visible. Musicians lead the group: one plays a double-headed drum with a blue-striped membrane, another plays a nadaswaram-style wind instrument, a man in white plays a saxophone, and another beats a drum. A small child in pink walks at the right edge. A sign-free glass hall and an airport bench appear in the background.

Indoor airport arrivals area with dark tiled walls, a red-framed window, red chairs and tables, and a sign reading Arrivals. A drummer in white dhoti and shawl plays a barrel drum with orange and blue trim. Behind him, a woman in a red sari wearing a thick white and red flower garland walks with a bald man in orange-brown robes and gold armband jewellery. Other people in white dhotis, red shawls and saris stand in the background watching.

A photograph of a welcome procession outside a modern white-and-glass building with palm trees. At centre, a man in a red-orange turban and draped red-saffron cloth wears a large garland of white and pink flowers and a red-orange floral garland, walking barefoot on a paved walkway. Around him, saffron-robed sannyasis with shaved heads and rudraksha malas walk alongside men in white dhotis and shirts. On the right, a drummer in white with an orange cloth carries a large drum. Whether the garlanded central man is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, so he is described by role as a garlanded guest of honour.

Behind them a woman in a red sari with red blouse and beads walks, and several men in white dhotis and shawls, some with bare upper bodies and rudraksha malas, follow beneath a red and multicoloured fringed canopy on a pole. A signboard with a map stands at left. Several people are visible, and the scene is a ritual procession with musicians.

In the centre a man in a rust-brown robe wears a long white and orange flower garland and walks ahead of the group. Beside him a man in white dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala and a white-and-ochre ash mark holds a ceremonial staff. Behind them devotees in orange and red garments walk, and to the right men in orange shirts and pink-red lungis carry drums and play them. Several people in white robes follow in the dim background.

Night procession on a dark road lined with trees and a bright light at right.
