Men wear white dhotis and white or pale shirts with lanyard badges; women wear sarees in yellow, teal, green and a pink-red saree, and one woman has her head covered with a white veil. A man in an orange shirt and blue jeans stands at right with hands folded beside a woman in white with a blue rosette badge. The scene suggests a riverside or ghat gathering with people in prayerful, attentive postures.2010-07-25July 31 20152015-07-31A large crowd stands on red-painted stone steps beside water, many with hands pressed in anjali mudra. Many men in white dhotis and white shirts, and women in white or cream sarees, stand in rows along metal railings; a few wear yellow or saffron scarves. On the left, men in white holding a yellow-scarved attendant, with a pot of water and garlands of white and orange flowers strung along the rail. Drummers and a horn player stand among them, and baskets of rose petals and marigold heaps sit on the steps at lower right. The scene suggests a ritual gathering, possibly at a riverside or tirtha ghat. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person.2010-07-25December 20 20102010-12-20
