November 12 20112011-11-12A photograph of a man seen from behind standing barefoot on a dark polished stone platform before a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. He wears an orange saffron cloth draped over one shoulder with maroon borders, and a rudraksha mala around his neck. His palms are pressed together in front of his chest in prayer. Beside the tree trunk is a small dark cave-like opening flanked by low concrete ledges and a small stone bench. A blue sign on the ledge reads 'DO NOT DUMP THE ....' and is partly cut off. One person is visible.2011-01-31April 21 20122012-04-21November 12 20112011-11-12A barefoot man with long dark hair stands on bare earth beside a huge old banyan tree with thick grey trunks and many hanging aerial roots. He wears a flowing saffron-orange robe draped over one shoulder and looks off to the side. A dark hollow opening sits at the base of the trunk behind him. Possible a person depiction: an orange-robed figure with long swept-back hair and a bare-footed ascetic presentation, but the face is too small and the cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2006-04-19October 12 20112011-10-12December 02 20092009-12-02December 26 20062006-12-26A photograph of a single standing man in an outdoor setting beside a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha mala draped across his chest, his hands held together in front of him. Long dark hair falls to his shoulders. Garlands of yellow and orange flowers hang on the tree trunk. A low stone platform surrounds the tree base, and nearby stands a small black stone altar with brass oil lamps and a dark bowl of offerings. The ground is bare earth with dappled sunlight, and a red-painted stone structure appears at the right. A rough sign reads Pada-Puja context implied by setting; the scene suggests a padapuja at a sacred tree.2010-11-18 +1 copiesA man stands barefoot on a raised stone platform beside a large banyan tree, his forehead touching the trunk with eyes closed. He wears an orange-yellow unstitched wrap with red and maroon borders and triangular red patterns along the lower edge, and his upper body is bare apart from a cloth draped over one shoulder. A dark hair knot is tied at the back of his head, a white tilak marks his forehead, and a beaded necklace is visible at his chest. His hands are clasped at his waist. A small floral rangoli is drawn on the stone near his feet, and dry sandy ground, rocks and a low white wall surround the tree.2011-01-21December 17 20112011-12-17September 02 20112011-09-02
