August 14 20112011-08-14August 14 20112011-08-14A photograph in an ashram hall with peach-coloured walls and a framed portrait labelled "Vinayaka" hanging high on the left wall. A standing man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, wearing a long multicoloured flower garland with a rudraksha mala, smiles while two men in white kurta-style clothing bow and touch the floor in reverence; one presses palms together, the other bends low to touch a folded white paper on the tiled floor. A black bag sits at the lower right and a small amount of a second garland appears at the left edge. This appears to be a paduka puja, with the devotees honouring the standing man through the ritual of touching the floor.2011-08-14Indoor photograph of a long-haired man in an orange saffron robe with a red bindi, standing as a white-clad devotee in a white sherwani and glasses places his hands on his waist while another devotee in orange-yellow kneels to adjust a long white and red jasmine garland draped from his shoulders. A marigold and rose flower arrangement lies on the floor in front. Wooden carved window panels and a framed carved wooden doorway with a garland-draped top are behind, and another saffron-robed attendant stands at the left edge. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robe and ceremonial garland; the figure is being honoured with flowers in a pada puja style setting.2010-01-10A home interior where a man in a white shirt and white dhoti drapes a long garland of white jasmine, yellow and red flowers over the shoulders of a figure in an orange robe. A second person in orange stands at right. Behind them are framed photographs on the wall, a white-draped sofa, a wooden cabinet with stuffed toys on top, a television, and a small tray with oil lamps on the floor. The garlanded figure shows no distinctive a person cues such as a crown, long swept hair or rudraksha malas, so identity remains uncertain.2010-02-15A photograph inside a temple hall with yellowish walls and a wooden floor. A man in a white dhoti and white shirt stands on the left, placing a white and green flower garland over the head of a young woman in an orange saffron sari with a red blouse, who bows her head with hands clasped. On the right, a bearded man in orange robes with glasses and a rudraksha mala sits watching with hands folded. Behind them are a framed devotional picture, a brass lamp stand, a blue bucket and a metal vessel. A gilded altar with a wooden floor frames the left edge.2009-08-08A photograph of a garland ceremony in an indoor hall decorated with orange marigold strings and a large backdrop of a banyan tree and a deity murti. A figure in an orange saffron robe with long dark swept-back hair lifts a garland of white and red flowers over the head of a man in white shirt and dhoti who bows forward. Behind them a smiling man in white stands among other onlookers, and a white-clad man in the left foreground faces away from the camera. Brass oil lamps, a water bottle and marigold petals sit on the floor, and a white draped chair stands at right beside a red box.2010-02-18A photo in an indoor hall with pale peach walls, a ceiling projector, a wall speaker and a framed portrait labelled "Vivacity" showing a smiling man in a golden turban and gold necklace. A man in white kurta and a rudraksha mala kneels on a beige floor mat, touching the floor with his hand, before a standing man in saffron-orange robes, a cream shawl and a long multicoloured garland of red, yellow, white and green flowers, who looks down toward him holding a rudraksha mala. A second man in white kurta and a dark mala stands to the left, watching. A black bag sits at right and a plastic bag printed with partial text at left. Behind, a golden throne and orange cloth are partly visible. The setting suggests a paduka puja or darshan moment.2011-08-14Indoor temple-hall scene with a central figure in saffron-orange robes wearing a long white-and-red flower garland and a gold bead necklace, with a smear of white ash on the forehead and long dark hair. A man in a light striped shirt and white dhoti stands at left holding a garland, a younger man in red shawl and bare shoulders faces away, and saffron-robed attendants and white-clad devotees stand behind. Orange curtains and a framed picture hang on the wall. The central figure appears to be a person based on the saffron robes, long swept-back hair, garland and gold necklace, shown in attendance at the ritual.2010-07-21December 30 20092009-12-30February 02 20102010-02-02January 12 20072007-01-12
