Several men in white dhotis and white kurtas wear orange or yellow shawls draped over their shoulders, some with hands folded in namaskar. Women in saris, including green, pink and purple tones, stand among the crowd of devotees. A bright light stand and a covered table with an oil lamp are in the foreground, with smoke or haze drifting through the air. Some people hold their hands together in prayer or stand with folded hands, while others tend the fires. A bare-tree and building silhouette forms the background. The scene suggests a homa fire ceremony with a sizeable crowd, though only the visible participants are counted.2006-09-20A dim night-time procession of a large crowd moves forward past parked vehicles. Many devotees press together, several in white dhotis and shirts, others in orange and red kurtas. Two men in the foreground hold hands in a line, one in an orange-yellow kurta, one in a red shirt.
