A white marble statue seated in front of a golden shrine arch, dressed in orange saffron silk with an orange turban and tilak, wearing a rudraksha mala and a gold-trimmed red and gold brocade seat. The statue raises its right hand in blessing. Behind it stands a golden two-figure deity murti on a red satin backdrop, one figure in blue with a crown and the other with a trident, beneath a golden hooded cobra canopy. The statue and deity are garlanded with yellow and red flower strands. Brass bowls with flower petals and ritual vessels sit in the foreground. No physical people are visible.2010-11-09December 22 20102010-12-22December 21 20102010-12-21October 27 20102010-10-27A white marble statue seated in meditation posture, hands folded at the chest in anjali mudra, wearing saffron-orange cloth, a saffron head wrap, a red bindi, and rudraksha and gold-bead malas. The statue is garlanded with yellow, red and white flower garlands and sits on a white pedestal with a golden cloth. Behind it, a larger deity murti in orange and gold garments is decorated with flower garlands and gold jewellery, and a white dhoti with red border hangs at the right. The setting is a temple-like hall with carved stone pillars. Scattered petals lie on the floor.October 04 20102010-10-04A photograph of a shrine decorated with garlands of marigolds, roses and jasmine. Behind, two bronze deity murtis are seated: the left figure wears an orange-red turban, holds a trident-like staff and raises one palm, while the right figure wears an ornate crown and jewelled necklaces with a green-and-gold garment. In front, a white marble statue of a seated sannyasi with a smiling face, red bindi and orange-saffron robe, raising one hand in blessing, is garlanded with white jasmine and red flower strands. Brass lamps flank the statue. No living people are visible, so the figures are statues and murtis, and the statue's identity is not established from appearance.A white marble statue of a seated sage, dressed in a turquoise-blue cloth with a dark rudraksha-style bead mala and a teal-and-maroon turban, raises its right hand in blessing. Behind it stands a larger deity murti adorned with gold jewelry and a red-and-yellow floral garland draped across the frame. Brass oil lamps, a brass vessel, flower petals and a white cloth decorate the altar, with a small figure visible at the right edge. This depicts a statue, not a living person.2010-10-27 +1 copiesA flower-decorated shrine tableau dominated by garlands of marigolds, red roses and white jasmine. A white marble statue of a seated sannyasi in saffron robes, with an orange turban, rudraksha mala and raised right hand in blessing, sits in front. Behind it stands a bronze-coloured deity with a crown and purple sari-style dress, and a figure in an orange turban and gold necklace, all draped in floral arches. Fruit offerings of bananas, a custard apple and mangoes, brass oil lamps and a silver bowl lie at the base. In front stands a white marble statue of a seated sage in orange saffron robes with a rudraksha mala and a raised hand, wearing an orange turban. A white cloth covers the platform below, with small brass vessels and flowers at the base and a partially visible hand at the lower left. No living people are clearly the main subject; the statues are central and the figure in saffron is a statue, not a physical person.2010-12-16A photograph of a shrine arrangement inside a temple hall, showing deity murti rather than living people. Two bronze-coloured standing figures stand at the top: the left wears a red turban, layered silver-look necklaces and a dark garment, while the right wears a green and red skirt with a red bodice and bangles, and holds a shallow metal bowl. Seated in front is a deity murti with a red turban, a tilak-marked forehead, a gold pendant and a dark blue garment with silver ornaments. A white marble figure in orange robes with a red headband sits at the lower left, raising one hand. The whole group is draped in thick garlands of yellow, white, purple and maroon flowers. A brass oil lamp sits on a white cloth at the base, beside a striped white and maroon cloth.2007-12-25December 16 20102010-12-16
