In the lower right, a man in orange saffron robes and an orange turban sits on the step, with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala draped over his chest, gesturing outward with one arm toward the water. In front of him, a row of small clay lamps with lit wicks and marigold petals sits on the stone edge, with a brass vessel beside them. To the left, a flame is visible on the water's edge. Behind, a line of devotees in orange and white clothing stands along a blue-and-white railing with a chain, some bending forward, and a few people are dressed in white trousers. The scene suggests an aarti or puja at the river.July 01 20082008-07-01January 09 20062006-01-09A man with swept-back dark hair sits cross-legged on a brick pavement beside a red-painted pillar carved with Devanagari text. He wears a saffron-orange robe, an orange shawl over a dark high-necked top, and a rudraksha mala, and his hands rest clasped in his lap. Behind him several women and men in orange and saffron clothing sit in a row with eyes closed, and a red railing and greenery appear in the background. The seated man has long swept-back hair and rudraksha beads, cues consistent with the a person label, though identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2008-07-01January 08 20062006-01-08
