KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 3/1/20222022-03-01A photograph of a man in a white dhoti and shawl with bare upper body, standing with palms pressed together in namaskar in front of an altar draped with a yellow embroidered cloth. The altar holds small figures of deities, flower decorations, brass plates and bowls of fruit and food offerings, including pineapple, mango, watermelon and bananas. Behind him is a large printed backdrop of a seated saffron-robed figure with a red turban, rudraksha and gold garlands, resting on a tiger-skin seat. A paper sign on the yellow curtain reads KAILASA TRINIDAD & TOBAGO. The scene suggests a puja offering; one person is visible.A smiling woman with dark hair in a high bun and a white vibhuti line with a red kumkum dot on her forehead sits in the foreground with her palms pressed together in anjali mudra. She wears a peach-coloured garment with a white wrap and a rudraksha mala around her neck. Behind her is an altar draped in red fabric with gold embroidery, bearing a white banner reading KALASA TRINIDAD & TOBAGO. Three small decorated deity murtis with marigold garlands and white flowers stand on the altar in front of gold curtains, and a second sign reads KALASA TRINIDAD TOBAGO on the wall.
