Night photo from an elevated viewpoint of a large temple tank or pond lit by bright floodlights, with a raised red-carpeted platform in the water holding an ornate golden and red palanquin or throne-like structure. Tiered stone steps lead down to the water, where two bare-chested men in white dhotis stand near a large black stone image of a deity or sacred object. Brass pots, bowls, kalashas and lamps sit along the steps, and devotees in white and dark clothing sit on the steps. Red flags line the railings, and a crowd fills the stands on both sides under strings of lights, with a illuminated building in the background.
