The murti, plated in gold with a jewelled crown, wears a green sari with gold border, a garland of yellow and red flowers, and jewelled necklaces; it is adorned with floral garlands of red, purple and yellow. The murti wears a tall gold crown, layered gold necklaces and bangles, and sits beside a second gold figure with a crown. The throne and backdrop are densely decorated with garlands of red roses, yellow and white flowers, purple blooms and green leaves. On the left a hand holds a silver plate. Gold-framed ornamental carving and a blue cloth form the backdrop. The figure's identity is not established from appearance alone, so the arm and garland are described as the actions of a devotee performing a blessing or abhishekam-style offering before the murti.2015-01-04February 23 20092009-02-23 +1 copies
