January 23 20102010-01-23January 23 20102010-01-23Outdoor photograph of a temple construction site beneath tall coconut palms on a hazy day. Several young men in saffron-orange robes and matching orange shawls dig into reddish-brown earth with shovels; one bends low with a shovel, another stands with a spade. Women in white and a woman in a red-patterned sari stand among them, and a man in white with glasses observes at left. Sandy mounds of excavated soil surround the pit, and a yellow vehicle is visible at the right edge.2006-12-09January 23 20102010-01-23Outdoor foundation-laying ceremony under a canopy with striped and tasselled fabric overhead. A man in an orange turban, orange cloth and a white-and-yellow-and-red garland stands at a sand pit lined with yellow bricks, bending forward with his hands near the ground, as a bare-chested older man with a white beard, orange robe and red-and-white garland kneels beside him. A man in white kneels at left holding offerings, another in white leans in at right beside a metal pot, and a bearded man in orange stands at far left. Floral kolam designs decorate the sand around the pit, with a brass plate of offerings nearby. The scene shows a bhoomi pooja at a land inauguration.2006-11-24November 23 20062006-11-23January 23 20102010-01-23April 02 20122012-04-02A photograph of an outdoor ground-breaking or ritual pit on dry red soil beside a rural road. In the foreground a freshly dug rectangular pit holds small offerings: a brass plate of sweets, a banana leaf, a small dish and a flower. Several people in saffron-orange robes stand around it. A woman in orange with a long garland and a man in orange clothing hold offering plates over the pit. A man in a white shirt and dark trousers leans in to assist, and older men in white dhotis and shirts walk in from the left. A silver car, palm trees and dry sugarcane stalks are behind. A man in a dark cap stands on the right, and more villagers are visible further back. Stylised purple logo at top left.2010-01-23April 04 20082008-04-04Outdoor photograph on bare reddish-brown earth at dusk, with a pale sky and distant trees. A bare-chested man with long dark hair wears an orange cloth wrapped at the waist and over the shoulder, and stands with his palms pressed together in greeting. Beside him, a man in a white kurta with a saffron-orange shawl and a beaded mala stands with hands joined. In the foreground, a man in a white shirt and checked lungi bows low, prostrating himself on the ground. Behind them, several men in white dhotis and kurtas stand watching, one in dark-framed glasses with hands clasped, and a man in a grey shirt and green lungi with palms pressed together. A cameraman with a video camera on the left is filming. A white vehicle and a partly built structure are visible in the background.2006-11-23July 29 20082008-07-29
