In the foreground, large gilded hands with raised fingers. Beyond them, an old cream-and-red public bus has passengers leaning from its windows. The background is blurred with bokeh, showing an orange-red drape, glittering silver decorations, and a golden deity murti or ornate altar element. A dark object with a light surface sits at the bottom edge. Only the hand and arm are visible; no face is shown, so no person can be identified from appearance.2016-12-02Close-up photograph of a gilded metal hand, fingers raised in a blessing gesture, on a processional structure decorated with yellow marigold garlands and red flowers with green leaves. Behind it, a dense crowd of devotees walks along a tree-lined street during a procession; many men wear white dhotis and shirts, others wear orange or purple clothing, and a yellow canopy is visible in the background. The scene suggests a temple car procession with garlanded deity imagery in the foreground.2006-10-09Night photograph of a procession on a wide city road lit by many street lamps, with crowds and parked vehicles behind. In the foreground, a raised hand wearing several gold and gemstone rings, a wooden rudraksha-style bead bracelet and a golden bangle is held up beside a tall staff decorated with pink and blue tassels and orange marigold garlands. A seated figure in a white sleeveless garment leans from a golden throne-like seat with red velvet cushions bearing a blue emblem, and gilded ornaments and white flowers frame the scene.2013-02-12February 12 20132013-02-12October 09 20062006-10-09February 12 20132013-02-12
