A large photograph of a seated meditation gathering under a big tent with green matting. Hundreds of men in white shirts and white dhotis sit cross-legged in rows, most wearing red cloth blindfolds over their eyes, some with name badges pinned to their shirts. A few bare-chested men and one man in an orange shawl are visible among them. Overhead, stage lighting rigs and a large stage screen are visible at the upper right. The scene reflects a mass meditation session. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance here, so no candidate is named.2017-05-10March 11 20172017-03-11March 11 20172017-03-11A large tent-covered gathering of devotees seated in rows on colourful striped woven mats, many wearing red headbands across their eyes. Most wear white or cream dhotis and saris, with a few in yellow and some in pale blue. Paper lanterns and decorative hanging lamps hang from the tent ceiling, and a golden tree decoration and potted plants stand at the sides. Further back, a few people in white stand near a decorated stage area with ornate golden seating. Consistent with a Karthigai Deepam observance during the evening lamp ritual.2016-12-12May 10 20172017-05-10March 11 20172017-03-11December 13 20072007-12-13March 11 20172017-03-11May 21 20172017-05-21Article - November 26 20062006-11-26 +1 copiesNovember 16 20032003-11-16Large crowd of men seated on the ground at night, most wearing white shirts and dhotis and blindfolded with red cloth bands tied across their eyes.
