A man in a rust-red turban and saffron-brown robe stands on a raised platform with both arms lifted overhead. He wears a long red and yellow flower garland with a rudraksha mala across his chest, and the platform is heaped with white and yellow flowers at his feet. Behind him, orange-robed men with white sandalwood marks on their bodies and shaved heads stand near a metal railing, and a stepped stone amphitheatre with rows of seats and red flags fills the background. Swamiji (probable): the turban, red-and-gold garlands, rudraksha mala and ceremonial reception on the platform are the qualifying cues for the lead figure, who is honoured as a guest of a satsang event.2015-07-31A seated figure on a gold-carved throne wears a rust-orange turban, orange and saffron robes with gold border, a beaded necklace and a red-and-gold bangle, and extends his right arm to press his palm on the head of a kneeling devotee. The devotee bends forward with hands joined, wearing a white headband and a light pink cloth. Beside him an elderly man in a white dhoti with gold border stoops to watch, and a standing crowd of men in white shirts, white dhotis and white headbands fills the marble-floored hall behind. The figure on the throne shows Swamiji (probable) cues of an orange turban, saffron robes and ornate gold jewellery, consistent with a diksha-giving role. A black cable runs across the floor.2015-09-05Photograph on a pale stone ghat steps at the Ganges in Varanasi. In the foreground a figure seen from behind wears a rust-red turban, a white flower garland, a dark rudraksha-style beaded necklace over an orange and gold shawl, and bare shoulders, walking up the steps. A bare-chested figure on the left in a saffron-orange wrap with a red-orange turban, orange marigold garland and a rudraksha mala raises a silver staff and a hand toward the crowd. Beside him a bald man in rust-red robes, wire-rimmed glasses and a long rudraksha mala holds a small silver vessel. A smiling woman in red-orange sari with a rudraksha mala has orange-yellow tilak on her forehead. Around them many devotees in white and red-orange dhotis and shawls, some with forehead tilak, climb and gather on the steps, with a black shoulder bag and a light-coloured bag visible at right. The person in the turban has distinctive saffron clothing and garlands, so the appearance matches the a person candidate with probable cues, but the figure is partly turned away and the face is not clearly visible.2015-10-03A photograph of a crowd on stone steps at a temple entrance, with yellow and red iron gates behind. A bearded man in a long white kurta walks barefoot near the centre, and a figure in a saffron-orange turban, orange-red robe and long swept-back hair, wearing a large rudraksha mala and a white-and-yellow flower garland, walks with hands joined in front of a group of men and women in white dhotis and shirts with red cord lanyards. A woman in a white sari with a red beaded necklace and white flowers in her hair stands in the foreground, and a garland of yellow and red flowers hangs at left. Many onlookers in white and pastel shirts fill the background, some under a scaffold-like structure.2003-11-09June 24 20142014-06-24 +2 copiesOctober 03 20152015-10-03April 18 20162016-04-18January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesOctober 03 20152015-10-03March 07 20162016-03-07
