Outdoor homa at night: a brick fire pit with a large flame rises in the centre, decorated with pink and red flower petals along its ledges. A bare-chested priest in a green waist cloth and white dhoti, with a green head cloth, pours an offering from a brass bowl into the fire. Beside him a shirtless man in a green dhoti and white cloth sits cross-legged, and at left a shirtless man in white dhoti with an orange-saffron shawl holds a small offering. Brass pots, a bowl of petals and rice sit on the ground at lower left. Behind them, a seated crowd in white clothes with red shawls watches, several with tilak marks.

Night outdoor fire ritual (homa) at a brick-lined fire pit bordered with yellow marigold garlands, with a bright flame and smoke rising. A bare-chested priest with a red and white beaded garland kneels on the right, raising a hand, beside a steel bowl with a ladle. Beside the fire, a man in white dhoti with a gold chain and a bead garland sits with eyes closed. A plate of grain sits at the lower left. Around them, seated devotees in white and light clothing, some with hands folded and some raising palms, fill the background under blue-purple lighting. The right-hand priest may be a person, with a shaved head, rudraksha-style red beaded garland and orange cloth; appearance cues are limited, so identity is uncertain.

A photograph of a fire ritual at night. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti sits cross-legged before a large flame rising from a fire pit built of wooden blocks, offering into the fire with a small vessel in his hand. A second figure in the foreground, wearing a yellow-green cloth draped over the shoulder, sits with back to the camera facing the fire. Brass vessels, a kalasha-style pot, and baskets of yellow marigold garlands are arranged around the fire, along with red flower offerings on the wooden blocks and a small oil lamp at the lower left. Homa or yagna fire ritual.

A large outdoor tented ceremony at Adi Kailasa with many seated participants, mostly shirtless men wearing rudraksha malas, on red mats. In the foreground a rectangular fire pit with a bright flame and marigold flowers surrounds it. A man in a white dhoti and a yellow-orange shawl with an orange head turban sits with palms pressed together in namaskar beside a brass bowl, while a younger man in an orange shawl sits next to him. Garlands, string lights and hanging lamps decorate the tent, and a golden ornate throne stands at the right edge.
