Outdoor evening scene at a temple-like ground with palm trees and a pale sunset sky. A long red carpet runs down the centre toward a canopied stage with a deity murti or altar at its far end. Crowds of devotees in white clothing, many women in white saris with gold borders, stand in lines behind metal stanchions along both sides. In the foreground, a bald man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala stands with his back to the camera, next to a man in white. Other devotees sit on mats near the carpet. The scene reflects a Pratyakshya Pada Puja darshan line at a Mahashivaratri gathering. The man in saffron shows no distinctive a person cues, so he is described only by role; identity is not inferred.

Women in white saris and salwar-style outfits line the left side, and several participants wear red and white attire. Ceremonial poles with decorative banners stand along the wall.
